Canadian Tire Vacuum

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

For those of you unfamiliar with Canadian Tire, it is a very large chain of hardware stores across Canada that began as just an automotive supply store specializing in tires. Kind of like Western Auto, I guess. Over the years, the store has morphed into a kind of Canadian version of Target or Walmart, with a very good selection of all kinds of hardware and housewares and garden supplies - they have even started selling major appliances like refrigerators!

The vacuum aisle at Canadian Tire these days is mostly filled with bagless Sharks, but you can get a decent Hoover WindTunnel bagged canister there for about $200. They are also selling the cheaper Miele S2 series canisters now. Good selection of cordless handvacs too, and the Electrolux Ergorapido stick vac.

The store brand is now called Mastercraft - and you can now get Mastercraft electric drills and tool boxes and plumbing supplies. It's interesting to see how the brand was just called "Master" back in the 1950's! :-)
