An American Made TTI Hoover?

This listing on eBay shows a TTI made Hoover Elite. On the 5th picture shows the model sticker; looks just like any other newer Hoover. But look in the lower right corner, it says Made in USA! How is this possible? TTI shut down the North Canton plant, so where could this have been made?

Very interesting. Just another reason for me to buy another Elite...........

It's entirely built in China, then shipped over and then a couple of screws added and the label that says "Made in USA" is stuck on... :P

Just like how the new "MG" is made in Britain by being built in India by Tata, then shipped over and MG badges being glued on... :P

no it is made here ....some parts are made in juarez ....some injected molded parts are done by other American plastic companies contracted by tti but it is made here .....that goes for the complete elite commercial upright line c1414/15/04...its not just a glued on badge ....some of it is still produced and the rest assembled in the hoover industrial park bag plant......north canton ohio

At least that Elite has a Serial# unlike most new Hoovers!

btw, I'll take that Elite anyday over any current dept store plasti-vacs.

Is that Elite built in Glenwood, OH? :P
