Hey guys!
I've just seen a one of my dream machines for sale, so of course my intention is to get it, but here's the problem:
as far as I know, this vacuum just can be turned on and of by a switch which is on the hose handgrip, but the machine is sold WITHOUT the hose and the attachments, and they're impossible to get them anywhere due to it's not a very common machine. Does anyone know if could it be turned on without the hose.
If any of you also have a hose or attachment for it I may want them.
BTW, the machine is a Toshiba VC-222, the same of the picture.

PS: I know tommymilan had the same one, so tommy if you read this post could you tell me if there's a secondary switch to make it run or something like that?

Thanks!
Kevin

national

hi,

I own a old national cleaner that has the same hose. As far as my national considered there is a switch on it tha says on/auto. When you put it on auto you have to use the switch on the hose to turn it on. When you put it in the on modes the cleaner starts working and the switch on the hose does not respond anymore. I have a feeling that an electric power hose of a national from the early eighties works on this cleaner also. greetz edgar

Hi, this has really bene a dream machina for me as well, i hot it with hose, telescopic wand and its super turbo rug/floor tool,i don't really know how to' make it work without the hose, just think that without the hose and original tool it is not cool to' play with...think about it, Tommy

tanks Edgar!

I don't know if these one had a switch, I wish they have. I also thought about getting an electric hose of an old National, but they're very very rare if not impossible to find, I have some hoses from my Nationals that would fit but they don't have the switch. For now, all that I could do is ask my doubts to the seller and cross my fingers.

Oh, I forgot! I sent you a message in youtube, check it out =)

Tommy,

as you said, it would be great to have the tools, but these red little ones are so difficult to find so with attachments or not I don't want to let it go, but of course I want to be sure that I'll can use it. It haven't got any switch on the canister to run it witout the need to have a hose?

Thanks for the info anyway!
