Calling for info for Christmas VCCC Newsletter

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

we're now in the process of getting a

special scanner to be able to print great ads.
I'm very glad to say that our membership has recently increased by 7!! That's great news.
The upcoming newsletter will touch on our new members as well.'
So... start gathering/sending info. Some have already begun to do so.
Thanks...... looking forward to a great Holiday edition.

Well, it's time

to really 'dig in' on this. Next Wed, Sam and I are meeting at his house to do the initial 'layout'. We're making some nice additions to it. We've found ads from long ago that should put us all in the 'holiday spirit'.
I've gotten a few things in the mail so far. Thank to you who sent things.

Membership has increased by 7. Things are looking up all over. We might be able to use a nice Sears ad too. Sad to see them closing...awful to think others would be happy for that. Sears, as we know, is an American institution. A piece of U.S. history is closing...turning a page.
But, NOW is the time to send us your items for publication.

I'm meeting with Sam this Wed.night.

We'll do the 'layout' for the newsletters.
We're adding a 'baking/cooking section". We'd LOVE to print some of your favorite recipes........ cookies, etc.
Just, please be sure to mention Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Pics are coming in as well as stories, the museum of clean (John Lucia).
Time is passing........ pretty soon, you'll all be having Thanksgiving dinner.
FLYING !!!

Well, we made huge progress last night at Sam's!

After very nice comfort food (home made soup), we did the newsletter layout. We're trying to use ads, pics, graphics, etc that haven't been seen in a very long time. making them almost 'new' again. You'll be amazed to find Miss Tania 'out and about', recipes, tips, ads, pics, poems, etc.
Fun things are happening.

Thanks, Kenny

I have numerous copies of the old issues. They are great...found some interesting info in some of them (way back, and, around 2007). Several folks worked on making them happen.
The newsletter IS a lot of work. We ask for info. Sometimes, we get it. Sometimes, we don't. Luckily, Sam is super creative. We 'brainstorm', he gets an idea, I get an idea.
True, it is NOT done for US. It is done for vacuum people, collectors, especially for all members of the VCCC.
I think you're gonna really like it.
Thanks, to everyone, for your ideas and contributions.

Next one will be in the Spring... a 'pre-convention issue'

Great news!!

We actually might have more info than we need! That doesn't mean stop!! We'll put some of it in the Spring issue......(more on THAT later).
But, we got some wonderful stories, ads, pics, poems, recipes, etc.
Sam has found some wonderful art and old magazine ads.
We'll be making a roster (of 60 members), also.
So, things are looking up in a big way. Haters will be sad to hear this, but..........
We'll be working hard to bring you a great Christmas "holiday" newsletter!!!!!!

We've just purchased a special scanner.

So, Sam is now able to scan wonderful old things, right from his own home. There will be another newsletter in the Spring, including items that won't fit in this issue. Such items will be photos from Sam's December meet. The deadline for printing won't allow that.
You'll see wonderful things in this next issue.
Thanks to all who helped us with info.

We could have trivia questions, like a crossword puzzle.

For instance, I have at least 4 of these cleaners. Does anyone know the real story of this unit? What is the model? Were there more than one model of the same vac? What is the real color? It's NOT green, sorry. How, exactly, did they market these?
Pencils ready??
