Buying Advice - Used Kirby Sentria 1 or New Kirby Sentria II

Buy the NIB Kirby. You won't go wrong and it will serve any purpose you have in mind. Daily use or display. No clean up or hastles with finding things to repair.

Had a chance today to use the Sentria II and this vacuum is simply amazing. This vacuum has so much sucking power. The Dyson DC14 (which I currently own) does not touch the Kirby. The Kirby Sentria II is an awesome machine.

With 4 years use and with it being stored outside as well, leading to the tarnishing, then the older model is not such a good buy now. Dog odor will wash out, but as it has been used for 4 years on a regular basis, then I would probably go for the more expensive but brand new model. As I said before, my decision would always be based on how much use the older model had had, and where it had been stored. Storing a vac outdoors or even in an outhouse leads to it getting damp, and this is not good for a Kirby.
Go for the Brand new Sentria 2 - its a good price and in the UK we would be looking at paying over £1000 for one.

That is exactly why I bought a Sentria II.

Pglover19: I too agree that you should get the Sentria II. I paid $1,500 for mine and that's more than double alomst triple what's you'll be getting for yours. Plus it's new in the box.
