Sorry Tom, I jumped the gun!
I like the looks of the power nozzle roller. Also like "made in usa" sticker.
Thanks for posting the pictures.

Just like a Model G, the new cord winder has a lock that the cord is placed in to prevent accidental rewinding when going too far from the outlet. The great benefit of 'window shade' rewinding is, you are generally across the room when the plug is pulled and the cord retracts. No getting smacked by the flying plug as the cord rewinds.

New plastic bag mount and automatic bag sealing mechanism. Touch No Dirt. Breath No Dirt. See No Dirt. HEPA cartridge filter. Totally SEALED SYSTEM.

When testing of motor life was done on the new model, it ran 1,197 hours before the carbon brushes were shot. That's approximately 23 years of use.

Wow, I totally dig it! Don't much like that particular color. Hope there are other colors. The only things that bug me about Riccar's is that there are no parking places on the machine to store the power nozzle. Their power nozzles also produce a wholly unpleasant sound. They are really loud and sound like a weedeater to me. I hope they have reduced that noise. Other than that, I'd definitely buy it.

Great looking unit

Tom, what is the slot on the back of the vacuum body next to the power cord? To me it looks like a parking slot and the wands look like they have a plastic piece designed to fit in there.

Wow Tom

Looks to be a near perfect canister vacuum cleaner.

I am excited and can't wait until I get mine love love that 9 ft hose and the Electrolux combo dusting upholstery tool that is THE best design ever .

So amazing that they have you to give advice on vacuum designs .
I so love my new Maytag 8lb upright Tacony is on a roll keep it up !

Looks *very* nice to me! I hope other colors are available too, but that's my only gripe.

Will the shaped aluminum 3-row brush roll still be available in the power nozzle?

That Riccar vacuum has potential-How well does its roller skate-skateboard wheels do rolling over door thresholds, rug edges or the machines own cord? The hard floor tool sounds nice with the little polishing pad built into it.I still prefer separate dust and upolstery tools-guess just me.The motor life on that exceeds many commercial vacuums-its up there with the NSS machines.Like the simple window shade style cordreel-careful though-some very younger folks may not understand how those work. For older folks--no problem.I use window shades over my windows-HATE blinds!

Wait One Minute...

I've been waiting all this time for THAT?
I though this would be my next vacuum that I've been waiting to replace my Miele Capricorn...now that I see it...YUCK!
There is no way this is replacing the Immaculate or Impeccable.

First, that has got to be the most ugliest design I've ever seen in a vacuum, (what's with the Coke bottle shape).
Second, the color is hideous (why do manufactures pick the ugliest colors for vacuums).
Third, are you telling me there is no 'on board' tool storage?...WHAT???
Forth, the name 'Wonder' and the chosen font (it doesn't exude strength, more child like) and it does look exactly like "Wonka" (that's the first thing I noticed and thought).
Fifth, please don't tell me the floor brush works like the Miele Parquet floor brush (which doesn't work when pulling backwards on area rugs because it tilts back and doesn't make contact with the carpet).
Sixth, that handle looks way uncomfortable (too raised and too arced).
Seventh, manual everything??? Sliding power regulator on canister (not on hose), mechanical (not electronic) bag full indicator on canister.
Eighth, no cord rewind button.
Ninth, the ring around the cord rewind port has a big split at the seam (it should be seamless or at least appear seamless) it already looks like its going to come off.
Tenth, the hose looks like a Miele hose (annoyingly springy and always bumping into things instead of hanging down out of the way).
Eleventh, is it going to be boxed just like shown? It looks like it was thrown into a box, literally.

Good points...
First, power nozzle looks awesome.
Second, telescoping wand looks nice.
Third, roller skate wheels look like a smart idea.

Overall I'm SO not impressed and like the Immaculate or Impeccable way more over the Wonder/Prima.
What a let down!

I think your best bet is an Aerus Platinum Canister...nothing is perfect, its expensive, but it has everything I think you want in a vacuum, including the mini electric hand turbo. I don't know Riccar's intent, but from this post it seems like an interesting vac- a concept type of vacuum. Perhaps they went a little astray with this new model. I like the idea of the extra long hose, other than that... I feel other manufacturers have solid feature rich models available for some time. Maybe Tacony was not intending on redeveloping all of their canister models.

Overall I am SO impressed-

No electronic swtiches & lights? Thank you!
No cordwinder button?Thank you! again as I see many problems with these 2 items that will not be an issue.
So far I see at least 3 tool storage positions.
Maybe show pics of dust/upholsery 'wings' folded to match contour of item cleaned.
Would love to try floor brush.Looks like it will be one of best.
And now my negative(slightly) comment-Should the carry handle have been more noticable?I assume it is at bottom front.
More later---

Durability was upper most in the minds of the designers. A cord winder that uses a brake pedal is not durable in the long run. A hose all encumbered with electronics to turn the cleaner on or off, and control motor speed, mean lots of circuit boards (not durable). A simple motor speed control, along with a round suction control on the hose handle, are all that's needed. The dusting tool stores at the machine, just like it did on a Model G. It's right there. There is a slot at the back of the machine to dock the wand, power nozzle, or floor tool. The fit and finish of the machine is excellent. I guess one would have to actually see and use the cleaner to appreciate it. The Power Nozzle is very quiet in operation. The hose handle may look bulky, but feels great in use. Just the right size. The Riccar Prima is dark blue, the Simplicity Wonder is green. The cleaners are identical but for color. I do not know the selling price, as the machines are only now being shown to dealers for the first time. My favorite part is that the vacuum is extremely quiet (like a Model G). It's soft purr is very pleasant to listen to while dusting.
