I have that

exact model BNIB too

I bought it

when I lived in Pa. from my local Electrolux guy in 1988 I paid $500.00 for it then . I never used it because we had a Discovery Advantage and a Super J plus all myother vacuums . I put it away and forgot about it , right now it`s in the upstairs bedroom hidden away still 25 years later .

I opened my box

about 5 years ago to check the machine out . It has been kept in my home climate controlled and the hose was frozen in the packaged shape I tried to unwrap it and it just cracked .

They are not meant to be stored for years I replaced the hose with a modern hose .

Charles and Dan,
I have the same one new in box too. How interesting is that! I am sure I paid more than $500.00 in 1988. Mine has never been used and is still the box and packing. I did remove the hose and mine came with the regular Electrolux flip over rug/floor tool. The box and packing are just the same. I have never seen a Electroux fuller brush like the one in your picture.
I am pretty sure some of the club members have had it out when they visit,so it has been turned on. Nice machine you were able to find.
My hose was also stored in a climate controlled area but you can tell it is starting to leak.

Brad,
I agree with you. I am in the procees of selling my vacuums and on Craig's list what they seem to want is what is new, trendy and they want it cheap. I had no problem selling my Dysons but no calls on Filter Queen or Hoovers.
I would be willing to bet the Electrolux will need a replacement electric hose.

Wow thats amazing I always wonder when NIB vacuums show up why they were never used. I mean who spends $500+ on a vacuum and then just forgets about it unless of course you wanted to keep it as a collectable thanks. Zach

Mauve. UGH!!!!

If I never see "mauve" agan, it won't be soon enough.

Same goes for the pink/grey/black color combo.

And black/cobalt.

The '80s are where fabulous '60s and funky '70s style went to die.

And what came out ... in the '90s ... was all black and grey goth.

Can we hit a "reset" button somewhere, please??

NIB Electrolux

In the 80s I saw a former salesman who had won a Super J as a monthly prize when he sold in the 70s.It was unopened as they already had an Elux to use.Wonder where it is now??--The above Elux is an amazing find and a great vac,but when looking at the floor only tool with no bumper can you feel that further down the road is coming something called Aerus?!
