Asperger's sndrome is a mental condition on the autistic spectrum. People who have aspergers's can lack communication skills or get obsessed with objects, ie vacuums.

Not to offend anyone, but in my experience, the DC07 is the WORST Dyson I have ever used, in my experience it is so terrible in more ways than I can think to imagine.

Alex.

I was diagnosed with Asbergers when I was 12, I have it very mild on the spectrum, but it affects the way I understand peoples feelings and strugle making new friends, I imagine it is linked to my vacuum obssesion, but people that have an interest in something does not automatically mean that they have Asbergers.

DC07 is the best Dyson I have used

I'm with Alex, the DC07 is probably the one I dislike the most. Of the 5 Dysons my grandma has owned, the DC07 was the most problematic, the most awkward to use and the most unreliable, burning out after just 2 years

"Wow. They are Dyson's most powerful" And? Power is not everything.

The Hoover Purepower is a fine example of that theory.

I agree with Dysondestijl, Hoover purepowers are amazing machines, they are better than dustmanagers (the bagless version)
And I agree with you also Jamie, I misused the term of powerful, What I mean was the DC07 picks up the most amount of dirt and grooms beautifully, it is good for carpet. A carpet should not have a vacuum ran over it which has a stiff brushbar and is really aggressive, The soft brushes are good for carpet and help it last longer

"A carpet should not have a vacuum ran over it which has a stiff brushbar and is really aggressive, The soft brushes are good for carpet and help it last longer" Sorry, but you are wrong there.

The "gently gently" approach does not apply to carpets.

You need good stiff bristles and preferably beaters of some sort to agitate the carpet and get the grit from deep down in the bottom of the pile.

Carpets are tough things, hell, you walk over them all the time, how much strain do you think that puts on them?

IMO... And in agreement with Jamie...

The grit and dirt left behind by a brushroll that is too gentile will cause much more wear over time than something more aggressive.
