I would imagine so - The best thing is to list them in Auction format, with a reserve. Get a feeler for the market. Some items could be worth a fortune, it all depends on what there is.

There's surely a market for them, but I doubt you'll make enough money from the proceeds to retire early. Only appliances with some particular sort of rarity or provenance are going to bring in the real dough.

As madabouthoovers said, eBay would be a good way to test the waters.

A word of advice - list them all on eBay with postage options in an AUCTION format.  That way you are being fair and whoever wants to pay the most will get the items - plus of course YOU will get the most money for everything.

Good luck, and you never know - I may bid!!

Thanks,

Are there any brands/models which sell better than others?

I stumbled across some Moulinex small appliances still in the manufacturers factory box inside the box they were sent in!

Which seller ID will you be listing these appliances under? - so we can look out for them.

People appreciate good quality, reputable branded made in the UK stuff, rather than the cheap and nasty made in China tat - as you are already seeing on the vacuum cleaners you are selling.

Hoover, before Candy took them over, and subsequently moved all production to China in the early 2000's were high in demand. Early UK built Dyson models (DC01, DC02, DC03, DC04 and DC05 models built up to 2002) before James Dyson shipped all production off to Malaysia will also be in demand.

I should imagine early Kenwood, and Russell Hobbs before takeover and production moved to China, and Hotpoint, pre-Indesit takeover will be popular too.
