I'm not sure if this goes in the vintage category but I figure it's in an area with more views.
I got this at an AuBon sale in South St. Louis County back in April and when I first saw it downstairs I thought "oh another 4195" but I looked at it up close and thought "holy crapballs this is that boxtop Hoover I've seen in the schematics and thought it was a pipedream." I had my $10 whipped out so fast it'd make your head spin.
The only time I've seen boxtop Convertibles of any kind were the burgundy JCPenney badged model and the Western Auto badged model, but never an actual Hoover labeled model. The previous owner had it last serviced at Crestwood Appliance Center as noted by the sticker on the handle, a familiar place to both me and John Pease, but more for John as he has his mixers serviced there.
It runs great and Stephen had a chance to fiddle around with it on my basement rug when he came to visit last month.
