Well, after 14,000? cups it finally took a final spew! Weird thing, day I brought home mom's coffee maker from cleaning out her apt and she LOVED my coffee, set it next to my bosch coffee center and it took a poop. $120 shipping, 150 service plus parts, but it was in service 11 years! Should be back in 3 weeks good as new, I am hoping. Paying for it with refund from mom's pre paid funeral expenses. Christmas? I suppose. Just a totally weird day here. Thanks for the ear guys! David.

So sorry about your mother's passing. When you get it back, hopefully it will last another eleven years.

Wow, that must be some coffeemaker! Where did you have to send it for the shipping to cost so much?

Also, my condolences on the loss of your mother.

On a plus note? I am getting Very Good at making my old Capresso drip maker turn out ok coffee! I liked it so much I found a second one used 14? years ago, so spare parts or spare machine.Mom had one for years, brother had the other. No news yet on repair facility, Turnpike appliances . Le Creuset will replace my aged! worn out dutch over though! Merry Christmas I guess.

So, got the call, looks like $500 for service, worn brewing mechanism and grinder. 14000 cups, they were shocked it had never been serviced. I said well I sure tried myself.Thin Christmas family sorry! Dutch oven will be here, free in 2 weeks tough. Went with Cassis purple, it will be different, what the heck! Christmas tree is up, my body is dead!

They said it arrived with the bottom tray cracked and the coffee lid broken, 75 and 15. Guessing Fed Ex owes me for that? It was insured.

was told the service was 150 plus any parts. Not sure if I had figured it would be that much I would have fixed it. But its across the country and 118.95 in just for shipping, what else can you do that makes sense? They may cost a bit more now.
