Ahh Memories

The greeting card store down the street had that same vacuum. They took utility payments and the vacuum sat at the end of a card isle where the window was to pay you bills at.I remember going there and asking them if i could vacuum for them lol.And wishing I could buy that vacuum when they were closing in 1999 and the said thew had just thrown it away.
 
Oh, to clarify my statement above...I have seen several times a Sears F/W 1978 that I considered purchasing before at a local Antique store, and the same machines that were in the S/S 1979 catalog were in there. So for the $25.00 that was being asked, I chose and still do choose to pass. As I stated I do not have a "proper" 1978 catalog, but you can still "glean" enough info out of what I do have to make a fair and concise "assumption" of what went on with the Solid State introduction for Sears on it;s Sears Best PowerMates...
