citation go to you tube and see famed hoover collector tom andersons in action ....it was one of the fewest special edition hoover promotional convertibles produced for the spiegle catalog company in 1973...see all of toms awesome video posts ....tom s collection is definative because of its high hoover vault vacs....when it comes to full hoover collections of the highest standard...tom and jeff parker combined have everything that ever rolled out of 101 east maple street north canton ohio...

HOOVER made this "blue" 707 for less than a week,  for Speigle.

Sure!

They made 2.  One is maroon, the other is this "blue" one.  These are at the top of my staircase.

I have 2 719s

One has the original bag,  one has a white replacement.  Great cleaner.

Lark

The lark was a development of the Hoover model 115. As John said there were two models, the 12 and the 14. I understand that the (earlier) 12 has a more direct relationship to the 115 as it used the same brushroll, the 14 had a wider brushroll (possibly from 61 series) although I believe the mechanicals are the same, as was teh styling - the models shown above are both 14s.

They are comparativly rare models and, although I understand they were made in the UK (as possibly was the 115), they were not sold here, we has the 115 (actually 119 and later 1224) version here from 1951 until 1958 until the introduction of the all new 1334, which looks rather like the green model behind the Lark in John's photo above

More on the Lark

If you check out the link below you will see Gareth's (South Africa) recent thread you will see a picture of the later 1224 which we had.

As I said above the Lark 12 & 14 where not particularly popular models. The name was later used on a completely different stick type cleaner (suction only) which we also had here known as the Hooverette.

The picture below is from Fred S. posted in a recent AW thread, which shows you what the later Lark was like - its the one in the middle. This always looks strange to me as ours has a carry handle and ours was also available with a tool kit.

Just out of interest, our hooverette had the on/off switch (dustette type) on the carry handle, where was it on the US Lark?
