I noticed in the Walmart Black Friday sale they have a Bissell 3 in one stick vac for $9 I believe. It looks similar to what I used to have. They also have a Eureka Mighty Mite for $25, but it doesn't look like most I have seen. I remember a few years ago they had the Durabrand bagless canisters for about $9. Those Durabrand appliances Walmart had were usually were extremely cheap.

Several stores were advertising Dysons and Sears had their Kenmore Progressive and Crossover canisters advertised.

Also Lowes had a very cheap hand vac with a hose and attachments once for $5 a few years back. I'm sure they weren't of much use. LOL

We are running Royals 30% off, and Riccar vacs $100 off through Christmas Day. Unfortunately, there's not a real line developing out in the store parking lot till around 4am (kidding).

every one at the shops , my idea of hell, I hate busy shops except my own that means $$$$$$. I never go to the shops if I can help it, Joane does all that I can't handle crowds

The worst thing was going to the store at 6am in the morning to stand in a freezing cold line to snag some door buster deal that they only had 5 or 6 of. Only to find that there were already 50 people in line, the first 7 of whom camped out in sleeping bags and cots the night before. What has our culture come to?

Yeah, that got real old after a couple of years. It's a sport one can only suffer for so long.

I hear the sales are starting the evening of Thanksgiving this year. No need to camp out. Still, no thanks. I'm getting too old and sensible for that sort of thing.

I don't go to the Black Friday sales, because as others mentioned they only have about 5 of the big items at most, and people sometimes camp out for a few days before the sale to get them. And most of the time the other smaller items aren't a great deal. The only time I have been is in the afternoon/evening after the crowds are down.

I guess I should have posted this thread in Off-Topic, as I have gone off topic of vacuums.

My mom and sometimes I used to go. Getting up at 2 in the morning and camping out, only to find they never have enough of anything, and then that honestly, the sale discounts are hardly great. Sure you can save a few bucks, but in the long run you actually don't save much.

Last year, I remember an employee at a shopping store was trampled and killed on black friday. People go to the hospital from injuries and just all hell seems to break loose.

Staying home nice and cozy, and sleeping in!

Black Friday refers to the business terms "In the Black" or "If it's black, write it" meaning that any transaction that loses money is considered "In the Red" and any transaction that is profitable is "In the Black" Black Friday is typically the day out of the year in which most stores become profitable for the year. Until Black Friday most retailers use all proceeds to pay bills and buy product. On Black Friday, they reach the point of profit and all sales from then until the end of the year are pure profit.

The lady at Wal-Mart was trying to get an XBox 360 and used her peppers spray to get to the front of the line, sending 20 people to the hospital.

Black Friday

My vac shop is closed today (closed locally, but open on eBay) Seems like no one wanted to buy a Hoover Elite (which was 75% off regular price)

I think Black Friday really doesn't have anything appealing on special these days now; but I think the day after Christmas day has better deals?

WalMart

Had the Lux Classic for only $99. :) Too bad I didn't buy it! :(

Although it's a rebuilt one, it also had all the tools & combo floor/rug tool.

Mace

OMG

She brought mace to the store to mace people that got in the way of the items she wanted!

LOL!

And the sad thing is .........I believe it..

People are C R A Z Y!

I should know...I was a telephone operator for almost 9 years

the Eureka Power Mite Walmart advertised for $25.00 is in stores now for $19.00, at least here in Raleigh....I purchased one today for $19.00...I may open it and use it in the garage or leave it sealed and sell it on Ebay 20 years from now...lol...I almost never go to Walmart, but stopped in there today...the Walmart closest to me had 2 pallets with a huge sign...$19.00 I'm sure this vacuum is crap, but I couldn't resist it at $19.00...crazy I know...

I didn't see that Aerus canister at my local Walmart or on their website...I would have snatched that up for $99.00...

Aerus at WalMart

I think it's only those in South TX (Laredo, Corups Christy, Brownsville areas) that sell them; not sure about San Antonio area?

The WalMart in Laredo that I shop at & saw the Lux Classic is at Loop 20.

Not Black Friday, but Cyber Monday...

Costco.com is discounting their Sebo Felix package that includes the extension wand, hose, and turbo brush along with eight bags, which is usually offered at the standard retail price for the vacuum alone of $599, by $150. If I didn't have my Synchrony Premium (that's too big for my house, anyway), I'd get it. There weren't any Sebos at the three locations (out of maybe eight or nine) of the one local non-Oreck or Aerus vacuum store to see or try out (which is why I got the Synchrony―they pushed Simplicity), but since Costco now has it, a buyer can return it for any reason at any time.

I scoured the Wal-Mart website. I searched specifically the Wal-Mart Marketplace sellers in case it might be one of them selling it. I even called the store on the "20 Loop" also known as the Bob Bullock Loop and they said they have never sold any vacuums called Aerus or Lux and that they don't sell re-manufactured or re-conditioned vacuums at all, never have... Now, I happen to know that Wal-Mart as a company is famous for keeping it's employees in the dark and that most people who work at Wal-Mart are imbeciles. (Most, not all) But I struggle to believe that a company that has stringently sold only through authorized dealers for the entirety of it's existence would all of a sudden up and sell through the very organization that is trying to kill them off especially since it is listed nowhere on their website, nowhere in their ads (nation or local, I looked), corporate office has no idea about it, and even the very store you say you saw it in says they never have. Furthermore, if you did see it there, you would be a total fool to not purchase every single on, taking out a mortgage on your house or a loan against your car if necessary, to be able to turn them at at least 300% profit within a week... I'm sorry, but unless we on the forum, all of the aforementioned sources, and logic itself are totally wrong and stupid, you're lying... end of story. Sorry if I offended anyone.

BISSELL 3 IN 1

I bought A Bissell 3 in 1 for my office, it was 9 bucks I think! It does pretty good for quick pick up!

Pardon the inaccurate info...

but the vac shop owner here in Laredo said one thing about Aerus at WalMart, then said HEB Plus! & not WalMart, then said Lacks Furniture was selling Aerus vacs.

One vac shop owner in Corpus Christi said that people in the "South Texas Triangle" (Corpus Christi, Laredo, Brownsville areas) want to buy Aerus vacuums but most of us in that area are low-income folks who can't afford Aerus floor care products, so they said (but not sure if it's true or not) that ONLY Lacks Furniture & NEITHER WalMart or HEB Plus! may want to sell pre-owned Aerus?

Too much conflicting stories I don't know which to believe! To make things worse, the Laredo vac shop owner probably doesn't speak good English (mostly Spanish) & began shouting obscenities in Spanish about what he thinks about Aerus; which I felt VERY offended.

Yes but you have

posted the same thing about Aerus being sold at walmart HEB+ and lacks furniture and I have called all 3 places and they all say they don`t and have never sold Aerus.
I also called Aerus and they don`t sell reconditioned Aerus vacuums to any store as Aerus vacuums are only sold by Aerus dealers.

Lacks furniture actually closed all stores in January according to their website and only operates to accept payments from their customers. If you want to draw attention to your posts, great, that's what we're all here for. Do so by posting something interesting or posing a question or something. But throwing out a rumor about a super cheap modern lux vacuum, even if it is the bottom of the line and even if it is recon, that just sends us all into a frenzy to figure out how we're going to explain to our spouse or partner why we need yet another vacuum. Seriously, what did you think was gonna happen? Did you think that we wouldn't all try to find them so we could buy one? Look at the previous ad for the Hoover Windtunnel Air, legit ad, awesome price that most of us wouldn't have seen, many of us bought it... But anyway, we all make mistakes, and I'm done talking about this one way or the other. You won't here another comment from me on this topic. Again, sorry if I offended anyone.

I guess I've been lied to by the local vac shop! Makes me wonder if the vac shop owner understands English?

I don't know if the vac shop owner needs to learn better English? Sounds like he might be an undocumented immigrant who crossed the border?

I apologise for the misleading info about Aerus.

Rude!

I take GREAT offense to your comment!  As it has been stated in the past you have said Wal-Mart was selling Aerus.  You went so far as to post a pic in your comment.

Please do not use other people for your inaccurate posts!  Just say you made a mistake and leave it at that...to go say what you did about a shop owner was just intolerance and I can not stand that.  I too called Wal-Mart to try to score a machine and was told the same...they do not, have not, and no plans to ever carry Aerus.

oops!

This was all MY & no one else's fault. I guess I got too carried away with Black Friday & Cyber Monday. This ALWAYS happens to me when Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday comes.

I wanted a Kindle for Christmas; but I don't know if I'm going to end up getting the real thing, or a counterfeit version of a Kindle? So hard to tell which is the real McCoy?

Ok, he's admitted fault. Lets move on from this, now. I think this topic has reached the end of the rainbow which happens to be a pretty nice PN... Get it??? End of the rainbow??????
