Bison Rheostat control

Has anyone had issues with the Rheostat switch where the motor starts off in full speed? When I turn the switch on, it runs up to full, but the light gradually gets bright as I turn the knob up

I have a Bison that I repaired and it currently only runs at full speed. My best guess is that it has something to do with the transistor being damage. However, in your case, since the light ramps up instead of the motor, I feel like some of the wires got swapped, but I can't verify this.

Bison Rheostat

I had a friend look into it.The Mark III has a control board and one of the resistors had blown wich is a likely culprit at why my Bison only has high speed, my friend is trying to get a new resistor for it
