Trus, I seen OCC and the filthy homes there, well a lot of them have Dysons lol. The OCD people mainly have Dyson or vax

I like older houses. I love old American houses especially ones where they have a porch on :P

I also like houses where they have basements too.

My house had a porch

it wasn't original, was in bad shape, so, off it came. We had a side screened in porch...it's been enclosed in glass, now a 3 season room. WE used to eat dinner out there in the summer. I'm told the people who lived here before my family, put it there, and used to play cards there on hot nights.
I've dont major restoration/renovations on my house. It's 140 years old, 12 rooms. It was filled with people when I was very young. Now....just myself, the 2 cats, and lots of people under the house. It was built on top of a cemetery.
I've posted pics before. I can post some here, if you'd like.

I'll send a picture via Facebook (as i'm having problems with the uploader.) of what my house looks like.

Also with the thing with the carpet in the bathroom ~ I can't stand tiles or wooden floors in bathrooms, so it would be carpet for me.

Carpet in the bathroom IMHo is a little bit weird cos it would get wet all the time, lol. I love walking on carpet, but wet carpet is a little bit of a no no :P

much worse by the toilet lol

Other than that its nice :) if its washed often

No offence to anyone, but carpet in a bathroom is disgusting. Microscopic toilet, bath and shower splash back causes a build up of bacteria in the carpet. Plus, if you get a leak, that's your whole bathroom floor ruined.

Tile or lino in a bathroom for me all the way. Much more hygienic as it can be mopped.

Here's a snap of our house from the front.

Back yard (taken from the bedroom window).

Our house is a little topsy turvey. The ground floor in the pic above is just the garage, hallway, downstairs toilet and utility room, with all the living space on the first floor and bedrooms and top floor. Because it's built on the side of a hill, the patio doors out onto the back garden are on the first floor, which is nice because it means the dining room backs straight onto the garden and it makes the living area's very bright.

Looks very tranquil

Wow! That's pretty big for a back garden!! Love the clothes on the line too, take advantage of the sunny day!! So cool how it brings back fond memories when I was there many years ago.

Thanks Mark. It's a lovely little garden and relatively low maintenance. The washing line is retractable, so we can put it away when it's not in use.

It's a real little sun trap too. We had a BBQ last weekend for Father's Day and the sun was almost burning.

Homes.

I love upside-down houses Chris, there's some newer style townhouses built about eight years ago near me like that, with the garage at the bottom. It gives the house a bit of individuality.

We stayed in an upside-down house some years ago on holiday in Scotland. It had the kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, with the living room & one bedroom on the first floor, with a double bedroom with en suite on the second floor, with lovely metal spiral staircases. It meant that the house had a lovely open plan kitchen downstairs. before anyone asks, the vacuum was a bagless Sanyo which appears in one of my Argos Catalogue's.

That sounds a bit like ours, Jacob. We have -

Ground floor: Garage, entrance hall, downstairs toilet, utility room
First floor: landing, open plan living room, kitchen and dining room
Second floor: 2 double rooms, 1 single room, house bathroom and ensuite shower room

Well.

Your house Chris looks virtually identical to the one's near me, even down to the little balcony things that you can't walk on. The only difference is the ones near us are made from modern bricks that all new houses are made from, whereas yours looks like Yorkshire Stone, and looks nicer than just plain brick.
