I absolutely love the Seniors, as a wee nippa in the mid 70's mum had a 6525 as did the neighbours both sides as well as by best mates mum and another friends mum as well. Sydney were alive and well with them.
By the mid 80's they started to appear at the side of the road in quarterly council clean up's at an alarming rate, many with accomanying unused or little used tool sets. The benefit of hindsight!
We had shag pile 100% wool carpet, i remember mum having to do 4 or 5 bag changes each time she cleaned the house when the carpet was first installed although they have a large 5br home. it certainly served her well over the several decades she had it, maintenance free apart from bag and belt changes.
The beast with the headlight use to scare the shit out of me when i was 3 or so!
Living in NZ now, the senior never made it over the ditch, the junior was the only upright on the market for a while so needless to say with fond memories of the senior.
If any fellow vacuumlanders have a 240v Senior in great order in any colour they that would consider selling (i do empasise great order as my last connie purchased from ebay in the UK cost $300 nzd in freight)then please drop me a line at
[email protected] and we can negotiate a good price. Tool kit desirable but not essential as they come up on ebay frequently.
Cheers
Mike
