So I ordered the baird airflow meter from the goodvac and it finally arrived to Finland.
So quick test some of my vacuums with it and boy was I surprised.
I knew that Kirby would do well, but my other vacuums had a huge differences.
Kirby pulled solid 10 from the motor. Not surprise at all.
But my other vacuums what are bybass type had results from 2 to 9. So this really made me think.

Mike from Finland.

The Nilfisk has impressive airflow! Wish their domestic cleaners were more widely available in the UK. I would like to try the Elite.

Yes for a bypass vacuum Nilfisk had amazing airflow.
Some things to note. This Nilfisk GM80 has a GDI dual fan motor (1000w). GDI means industrial and GSD domestic.
Unfortunately Nilfisk don't do dual fan all steel motors anymore. However new style motors might have good airflow also :)

Do you have a Miele in your collection Mike? I'd be interested to see the reading it will reach on your Baird meter.

I don't currently own any Miele canister, but what I have read Miele has good airflow. Depending the model readings go from 6 to 8. Good for a bybass vacuum.
EU regulation models have less.

As I thought the Miele also has impressive airflow.
Seems like the Kenmore elite has airflow to rival the Kirby. 😉
