Well I did it
fit a f& G bag inside the bag
put the tube part on the neck of emp

it worked but the vacuum has definitely lost alot of its Kirby punch.

Not sucking as well...

so is the air restricted too much?

Would suppose it would happen with any conversion of this type.

did it as I think the bag is leaking
I feel air coming out top
thought it was shooting dust at me
LOL

OOOh well
I want the best of both world
an old kirby & bags
but seems it just may not work

darn as the f& g bag seemed too good to be true

Funny thing

why drastic cut in suction

I would assume the addition of more restrictions.
You added a coupler which restricted the airflow from the sani-emptor. Then a fill tube and then another layer with the paper bag.

Now you answered the question why Kirby took so long in offering their own paper bag. The Tradition was a start, but it had a restricted airflow. The Heritage was better, but it wasn't until about the G6 they redesigned the emptor, gave it a bigger fill tube, and matched it with a filterette bag material that you had a Kirby again.

I like your D-50s,That is a good idea you have but the tube from the paper bag might be restricted as it makes the bend from the machine to the Kirby bag, Here is my first sanitronic,it was missing the original bag and emptor and the handle was bent,I had a few Heritage machines on hand, and looking at my favorite Kirby the small head Heritage Two,I came up with this.

I just found an all original Sanitronic,Can't wait to buff it,this will be my first bagless Kirby in a long time, along with a Classic Three,I've got my work cut out for me,I'll use one of my canisters to really clean the bags before using them. here is the new one.

nice sani

looks like a nice one
shakeout really isn't the way to do though
but fun to run the machines once in a while

yeah the bend might be extreme
could be cutting off air

oooh well it was an idea

LOL
