What did I do?
Like I need another vacuum
Still trying to decide what to keep of what I got
But had to get it
I need the hose anyway to be able to use my G
Its just sitting waiting
I turn it on from time to time
just to hear it purr
I guess I should have just bought a new plastic hose for the G.
But I have fallen in luv with the G sound.
I got a turq G from Charles Vac Clean up so its all his fault
LOL
I luv it think its a 60 thats a good year!
It just is perfect sounding
So soothing
the motor so strong
I am convinced the vac I had in my first apt
was the bronze G
Had to be
So I found one on that place &
I got it for $34
auction:
Up for auction is a vintage highly sought after Electrolux Model G. This terrific model has a sleek dynamic appearance ahead of its time ,two tone lines, integrated cord winder, quiet operation considering its age, great suction , wheels show little wear and machine appears to have been lightly used. The cannister measures 22 3/4 x 9 1/2 x 6 1/2".The machine comes with a hose (the hose is off white with pairs of gold stripes)that is @ 81", metal extenders,a plastic attachment for curtains and upholstery etc.and the head bristles are in very good condition."
Sounds & looks pretty good
So hope the motor sounds as sweet.
Looks to be the metal is in good condition
hope I'm happy when I get it
The silverados will be going as well as sunbeam...hehehehe
LOL
I'm in love with the G
Wish me luck
Guess you can't really kill a G shipping it
I hope
So how do I date it
guess it matters not
its still pre 70
Last 68 G was Bronze
There is no power nozzle
just floor tools & crevice, hose & wands
I wouldn't mind so much
but I really don't have extra money for vacuums
So will have to start really pinching pennies
I do hope I didn't make a mistake
I need to go to Vac's Anonamous
LOL
but its a G
A good one will last forever
Hope the motors OK or wasnt changed
I think I have a G motor
Its dated 1965
model 115250
Lamb ametek
Charles said it was a Lux
I picked it up as it called out to me & looked like a filter queen. I have to wire it & test it
but 2 black wires
which is the hot????
LOL
So guess I need someone to tell me its going to be ok
I want to have the Lux G's
They are from when I was born
& I love the mostly metal construction
& what is life for if not to be able to go back in time
& rescue a lux G from the cobwebs & obscurity of eheck
LOL
