A big thank-you too all who keep this site running smooth!!!
I very much appreciate all the long volunteer hours you guys put in to make this site what it is. I bet it's hard for some to want to do it - as most of you adults grew up without this site. It's definitely a step in the right direction, as we someday soon will have too keep the club up and running.

I agree with dysondestijl on the color. I think a deep purple (like the DC01 in the picture he posted) would be a nice color, and the Vacuumland circle is more of a lavender than a deep purple so it would be easy to see the difference. I think we should have some sort of a vote on the name of the new forum, like you could pick a few of the ideas for names that we had and put them in a new post were we could reply with our favorite name, and whatever name most people like would be the name of the new forum.

Love the new features on the site! Glad I can enjoy them for free until I turn 18 next year. The website looks really nice !! I think this is a great idea! Just wanted to make something more clear... do we get to continue using the complete upgraded membership until the trial period ends, and then we get the youth membership? Or will this take place before the trial period is over? Thanks!

Hi George, this is a discussion with the 13-17 year old Vacuumlanders. I think it would be fun for them to help design the new forum. It mostly will be here in this thread.

Yes that's true Darren but I hope not too soon lol. I'm might be old, but not that old. But yes someday one or more of you guys will have to take Vacuumland over and all that goes with it over, it's the younger generation that will be ready for it.

Daniel I think it would only be fair to not start the Youth Vacuumlander accounts start until the initial 45 of the first day are used up. So let's plan to have it start in 42 days.
I love all of your suggestions guys. And I appreciate such well put togther posts, you guys are doing so great! Here's what I'll do next, I'll go through this post when I get some time and start making mock ups of sample logos and names using the colors and name suggestions you all came up with.
This should be fun, we will start with the circle and add the text, then we can decide on the image in the circle (like Household has a house in it). We will take this one step at a time and design everything together.

For a textured design, I would go for the periwinkle/grey design, like on the Kirby G4 bag.
Hey Guys, so this morning I created some quick logo mock ups using the possible names and colors you all picked from this thread. If I missed someone's suggestion when I went through this, I apologize let me know and I will create that too.
You guys came up with some great ideas!!!! The only problem I see with with the names is the congestion of the navigation bar at the top of the screen. The problem with some of these longer names is it going to be hard to squeeze a new forum circle into the space at the top with a really long multi-word name. Another thing to consider is the picture that we will have to pick out to go in the circle. A one word name would give more space in the circle for a larger picture.
So, just for an new example I came up with a forum named the Junior Forum. Now we don't have to use that name, but it looks nicer I think in the circle when we pick a one word name that doesn't have a lot of letters in it. Especially if we all decide on a dark logo with white letters as the text will need to fit within the circle, because if it extends out into the white area the edges of the text will disappear.
Oh and before I forget the patterned background makes the text way hard to read, so we should probably stick to solid colors.

The dark purple looks neat. Silver is my second choice.
I like the "Other cool stuff" personally, for the name.

After actually seeing the colours all together, I have to say that I like Alex's bright blue the best. Still not sure on any ideas for a name though.

Maybe "Compact." I thought of this because of those "compact" vacuum cleaners, Dirt Devil Dynamite, Eureka Super Lite, ETC.
Myles I think you might be onto something. This works really well because it is a small one word name that can fit easily in the small circle in the Navigation bar at the top.
Do any of you guys have any other one word names you'd like to try?
