Note how it "puckers" at the rear on each side, and then either you can see the edge of the leatherette slightly pulled out of the side-rail nameplates, or maybe that's just a reflection of the chrome. It's hard to tell. But the puckered leatherette, and the very bland-looking texture, suggests replacement. Factory-fresh leatherette on all models was always very carefully and painstakingly applied. It's hard to imagine a less-than-perfect job like this would have left the factory.
