Hello. I'm not looking to jam, I'd just like to know if anyone plays guitar and I'd like to see them. I've been playing for around 4-5 years so I'm a beginner. I also I have 2 guitars, a Xaviere jazzmaster clone (I have the seafoam green) and a les paul junior clone (White). (The pictures aren't mine)

Play.....not really....

But I do make a little noise on one! I'm self-taught, so I'm about as far from a good player as it gets, but I certainly enjoy it! I have two that I alternate between. My primary player is a Martin HD-28 that approx. 10 years old. On occasion, I also play my Martin DX1R, which is my backup guitar if I'm going anywhere. It's about 15 years old.

Gibson J-190EC "Super Fusion"

Has anyone heard of this Gibson jumbo acoustic/electric guitar before? Gibson made two other acoustic/electric guitars with pickups and volume/tone controls before this: the CF-100E and the J-160E, the latter being favored, among others, by Beatles guitarists John Lennon and George Harrison.

Both Journey's Neal Schon and Jefferson Airplane's Jorma Kaukonen owned one of these, as does British singer Nick Lowe.

Here is Neal Schon putting his J-190EC to the test on this VH1 Classic live performance of Journey's "Liberty."

Christine,

You bet! And now they are still going strong with their current lead singer, a Filipino native named Arnel Pineda.

My favorite era of Journey, though, not only included the hit-making years with Steve Perry singing, but also when Gregg Rolie had been the band's keyboardist (from 1973-80).

LOL Thats good Arnel is hanging in there.
Was at the HWof in 2005. All the lead singers were there from Robert F to even the future short time Jeff Scott Soto. Got a few pics of Steve Perry & one of Neal Schon. Got most everyone to sign my DVD...Then guess what...a few days later who do I run into....Steve Perry...LOL So I went up to him & we talked about the magic of that day!

Have not followed them much but Journey was one of my favorite bands growing up!

I still bump into Steve Perry from time to time in the market...

Bumped into Jeff Scott Soto a few times too...
