broomvac- Thanks for the photos! I think everyone enjoyed them.

I don't think I'm going to get it, as much as I want to. It's just not a practical machine for me, and I wouldn't really have a good place to keep it. 13 amps is a lot of energy to use up for a vacuum cleaner too!

You're welcome! Thats why I posted them!

I had a cool idea a while back when I first saw one of these Sanitaires. I thought about getting 2 Generation series Kirbys and removing their nozzles and making a bracket to bolt the nozzles together. Then just attach the two Kirbys of your choice to the double nozzle, and you have a very wide self-propelled double Kirby! If you didn't attach a mower-style handle, the machine could use a differential type steering, similar to that of a zero turn riding mower or a tank, just more primitive. In other words, put both vacs in drive and push both handles forward to go forward, pull the left handle back and push right forward for a left turn, etc. Pretty cool huh!

And that's not all, for once you no longer need a double wide Kirby, simply detach the two vacs from the double nozzle and give them each a standard nozzle! Easy as pie!

If I ever get 2 spare nozzles, I am totally building one.

It certainly is! But the idea is nothing new. I believe both the Sanitaire and Hoover vacs are from the 90's. (Correct me if necessary)

@kirbyvertibles

Thanks! I figured the Hoover was fairly new considering it is black instead of the older red/orange.

Also, thanks for the info on the Kent. I didn't know it was that old.

PS For those who haven't noticed, the Kent is a re-badged Sanitaire. lol

and another

I have one similar to the Kent labeled for Servicemaster use as the SM**(possibly 21) in place of which we do not speak(part warehouse-part Collyer brothers memorial).Mostly white with I think blue bags.Could be available if interested.

That large office suite would be best vacuumed by a backpack vacuum-lots of tables,desks to go under and around.The widesweep vacs are perfect for large lobbies,wide hallways, and such where there is little furniture.

Oh, and one other thing I forgot to mention is that the machine in my profile pic is a super-rare DOUBLE BROOM VAC!

;)

Just Kidding!
