Good day, does any one on this forum perhaps know how to service a junkers W 250K P 31 Gas geyser, i cant seem to find a manual on the internet and mine doesnt open the gas to the Burners or click to ignite the flame. If any one can please assist me even if i can just get the gas to the burners i can light it manually.

Kind Regards

Ruan

No gas to burner

I have no knowledge of this model of geyser, but this is usually a sign of a thermocouple failure. Is it a 'pilot light' type or electronic ignition??

The more information the members have, the more likely it is that someone will have solved a similar problem before.

All best

There might be a blockage in the lines or they might need a referb if you can still get parts you might be able to rebuild it. Good luck!! Make sure you turn the gas off before disconnecting anything!

"what on earth is..." (explanation)

Tony (eronie),

that is a brand name by Junkers for their continuous flow gas water heaters (most of the times in form of a combined gas central heating/ gas boiler (cont. flow). It acts on demand, so when you turn on a faucet, the flame will ignite and heating will be directed to the water flowing through. Once you are done, the unit resumes its regular central heating tasks, thermostatically controlled.

The word "geysir" (also geisir, geiser, pronounce "guy-zir" or "guyzR" is Norse/Islandic and describes those natural northern hot water fountains (through volcanic action) which allow people to jump into the lake and have a steaming hot water bath even in the coldest winter - from the Vikings' times up to today.

Junkers took it as a brand name, along with the special spelling included.
