There was one like that in my grandparents' basement when I was growing up. It had been in my great aunt's house until she died in 1970. I remember asking my grandmother one time if it worked. She said she was scared to plug it in. This from a woman who regularly used a 1920s vintage pistol type blow dryer. I have no idea whatever became of that vacuum or the blow dryer.

In the beautiful condition it's in with the original tools I'd say it's not priced that badly. Not everything is a $1.99 yard sale find. The older ones are getting a bit harder to find.

the tools may be worth it, the machine isnt at all. it has a hoover convertible cord and a generic bag. the two hardest things to find on any vintage machine is cords and bags.
