For the second time in 3 months I have been able to cross a vacuum off my wish list! This time it's an Electro-Hygiene tank, model 210A. This one was on my list because the 210, 210A, and 2-210 were (to my knowledge) the only Electro-Hygiene tank models made before WWII. Tom Stepien had offered this one for free when he was downsizing his collection last year and we tried to make arrangements for me to pick it up, but we had some communication problems and it didn't happen. It resided with another collector for a while, then Owen Perkins brought it to me at a recent mini meet at Luke Gebhart's. Its 550-amp motor runs great and has powerful suction but will need cosmetic work and attachments.
Also while I was there, Luke gave me a model 2-230 Electro-Hygiene straight suction upright with a full set of attachments and original boxes! I actually needed the attachments more than I needed the upright, as I already have a 2-230 in my collection that needed a few more attachments and a 230 that needs attachments. Thank you so much Luke, for this outfit that will help make mine more complete, and for helping to facilitate getting two of my wish list vacuums to me--the 210A Electro-Hygiene and the Custom King that you brought to me from Ken!
Although I haven't yet taken pictures of these or the Custom King, Luke has also given me permission to post the pictures he had sent me to see if I was interested in them. First is the 210A, then the attachments, boxes, and the 2-230 upright.
