This was on Market place. This shows the average consumers lack of knowledge on basic things about a vacuum. I’m not sure where the seller thinks that the Hoover elite hose would plug into? Not to mention, the seller believes that this is not”even a year old”, this is over a decade old.IMG_2218.jpeg

People today dont even use stuff, they likely found it at goodwill for $10 and are flipping it for $50 without even turning it on. Goodwill will typically mismatch parts like that that they think goes together.

EXACTLY! Plus they are also dumb enough to not know what some "premium" brands are! Case in point, a couple months ago I found a Miele S5 canister vacuum there priced at $25. Yet back in the summer they had a Dyson Ball canister marked for $130! I wonder if those dumbasses working in the back with the donations realized that Miele canister sold for over $900 brand new in 2007....

Another great example! If you ask the average consumer what a premium vacuum is, they will typically say Dyson or Shark. I can’t count how many times I’ve been told “ I have the last vacuum I will ever have to buy, a Dyson!” Consumers are drawn by marketing, unfortunately consumers believe the marketing and not the actual quality of the product.

Yeah, I've seen plenty of those scenarios, like the Electrolux Epic 3500SR I spotted at Goodwill that had no price tag. When I inquired about it, the manager, who happened to have a pricing gun in her hand, slapped a price tag on it without looking at the gun, then read the price tag and said "Three dollars". Needless to say, I ran to the register with that one. Then there was the time I bought a Kirby Heritage 1HD real cheap on eBay because the seller said it had "been used without a bag". Well yeah, it was a dump bag model. I cleaned that one up and retrofitted it with a Heritage II mini em-tor and fill tube assembly. And don't even get me started about my former girlfriend, who insisted I vacuum the apartment with her plasticrap Bissell upright, because my Electrolux 1205 was 'outdated'.
