Anyone seen these on the Hoover website yet? It's amazing how much they resemble Miele. (That's a good thing!) I am actually proud that Hoover has finally changed the design of the Windtunnel bagged canister to something more modern and up to date. Don't get me wrong I love the older vacuums and will always continue to use them, but I like change also!

One feature I love is that this new design has a 360 degree swivel hose which is a problem I have always complained about with my old Windtunnel canister.

On the topic of new Hoovers, I am also very proud of the new Whisper Upright they are selling now. It is by no means a Dyson, but it will sure give Dyson a run for it's money. I thought the best Hoover I had seen in a while was the Mach 5 until I saw this one.

Congrats to Hoover!

Yes I just saw all the new Hoovers. They are pretty cool! Could you please post some pictures of your new Hoover in detail? I have seen it @ Wal-Mart but I was wondering if you could take some pictures in more detail.
Thanks!
Clayton

Looks to me like.....

If I was to weigh in here, It appears that Tacony may be building this canister for Hoover. This is very similar in appearance to the current Tacony Canisters in the Riccar and Simplicity guises.

It's freaky how much they look like a Miele tho.

I wonder who actually IS making this. I would be an interested party. I'm intrigued!!!!!

so....

I guess the TTI takeover wasn't all bad, huh? Surprising indeed.

I like the digital power control... they still have the same very aggressive power nozzle with no height adjustment, that doesn't swivel... at least there's a quick release wand now.

Thank you Kyle for posting pictures. I haven't actually bought one of these yet, I had just noticed them on the Hoover website. I am also very intrigued by them and I agree they do resemble not only Miele but Simplicity.

I wonder where I could buy one of these?? I am certain Wal-Mart will have them at some point. I could always get one there. The only bad thing is the Wal-Mart stores here in Roanoke are pretty "bare shelved" when it comes to vacuums. (And we have 4 Wal-Mart stores in this small town). It's like they sell their stock and then don't do any inventory. Some of the display models are even gone. The only thing they do keep in stock are the shampooers.

I did recently break down and buy a Hoover Spin Scrub Shampooer. I love it. It does so much better than the Electrolux dry foam shampooers. And that is coming from a diehard Electrolux fan! :-)

Now if they sold some of those dirt devil products featured in that magazine over here in the states I would be tempted to buy them. Right now, I'm kind of scared of the dirt devil name. :-)

Tacony?

Hey Chad! I thought the Simplicity and Riccar canisters were from China, so does Tacony have a factory over there? I'm assuming this new Hoover is China made? Maybe with fuel prices the import business will die down and we might see more manufacturing come back to us, hopefully.

Rick

P.S. That new Hoover canister is a beauty, might be the poor man's Miele?
