I talked to a007kirbyguy(bill). I asked and he made me aware of one for sale on eBay for $150. I offered $100 he/she accepted.
I will have an American Lincoln shortly. I believe it has D80 motor sanatronic 7 coil and a f&g bags. I think it's either 16 or 18 inch nozzle.
I'm wondering if you can put emtor or royal type b adaptors.
What carbon brushes does it take regular d80 carbon brushes or heritage size carbon brushes. What type of fan metal or Lexan.
Just wondering and excited. I'd love s janitronic similar to d80 but this American flag vacuum will suffice I guess.

These are the following replacement parts you're speaking of:
118067 = carbon brush (120 volt), set of 2
119056S = metal fan and pulley (pre-1980 models)
119078S = plastic fan and pulley assembly (post-1980 models). The current Amodel fan will work well on this machine; it will take more abuse than the older gray Lexan fan and even the original metal fan.

its usually called a supervac 180. american lincoln was the commercial division that made them, but thier name was removed from visisble parts of the cleaner after the super sweep models.

the motor is unique to these machines. it has more windings and it more robust than the d80. i believe d50/d80 carbons can be used.

i have a 1967 super sweep. they take 18" brushrolls which are no longer made, bill edstrom does have some for sale however. theyre rarely seen on ebay. ive gotten all my from cleaning out parts rooms in vacuum shops. you CANNOT remove the head of the machine and changing belts is a huge pain.

they do take f&g bags, but the way kirby designed this machine it works just fine and doesnt impede airflow like those stupid bojack conversions for the home models. youre supposed to be able to remove the bag collar from the machine, but mine was siezed on and couldnt be removed. you may run into a similar problem. not sure.

they are excellent cleaners, and do a great job if you have the space to run them. the bearings are greasable just like the older small headed kirby's

fwiw, i have only ever seen photos of one all original janitronic. you will have to do alot of vacuum shop digging. ive never seen a complete all original janitronic over the last 7 years on ebay ever. super sweeps are most common there, and supervac 180's like yours. comvacs are also extremely rare and ive only ever come across those in vac shops and thrift stores. my AL super sweep came from a flea market here 5 years ago and snagged it $7.50
