Damien.

Damien,

After having little time at old vac store I will make time to sort and empty in 2020 and should finally know what I do or don't have.
Hoovers--Just this weekend I moved 20+ 20s/30s uprights to one area of upstairs.Should be extra 825 & 700/750.Haven't made list and saw no Hedlites.I may keep a very few as I will have some shipping cartons & att sets for some. There are more DAM in attic. Some should be Power Drive. These seem to mostly be blue/white or orange/white.
Will have Convertible hoses with attached rear connector.
Electrolux--Will have many Automatics but most 1205s are gone.
70s GE upright--That is probably all in above picture.

I actually need a dial a matic with a headlight more than I do the power drive but if the only dial a matics you have with a headlight is a power drive I'm good with that.
Thanks again for all you do.
Btw the brown 1 I saw in the picture I can use for the parts.

Hey

If you find the green janitronic let me know please. I have the blue one.
You have fantastc machines hope they stay with collectors.
Les

Jimmy,

Do you have any central vacs?

Your store looks like an amusement park to me. I think I could get lost having fun there. I wish it were closer to me.

Greg, you're a little bit difficult to converse with, aren't you? To answer your question for a second time, and expound a bit: I purchased a Cadillac vacuum cleaner, that's how I know about them. And I have done research on it and the manufacturer (Clements Mfg Co.). The fellow who started the company was a Chicagoan named George Clements, and he has 10 or 15 patents (which are easy to research) for mostly vacuum-related stuff. The earliest of them are for a large horse-drawn wagon vacuum cleaner. Several of his patents seem to have been infringed upon by other manufacturers. An old Eureka I also own, for example, infringes on his bag design. In fact, he sued both Kirby and Eureka for different things and won both cases, iirc. The name Cadillac for vacuum cleaners also pops up in a few very old google books, mentioned as part of a vacuum cleaners manufacturers association.

The company is still in business today, but it's been split in half and the half that makes industrial blowers is run by a bunch of incompetent a-holes. Just thought I'd mention that.

non Power Drive DAM with headlight--I haven't seen more than 2 of these in 30 years! At least one was yellow with flower design.
central vacs--Yes!In the back room behind the back room with some great commercial/industrial machines.Mid 60s Sears(light green?),a 2 motor,a gray plastic late 50s with lid on top/motor on bottom & Tevis McGee with dust bubble.
Hoover Convertibles-YES!-with attachments-Yes!--DOZENS of Convertibles from Mo 31 & 65 to large hood/plastic base and commercial.MANY hoses and att sets that could be added to some of these.

Hey Jimmy, as you're digging around for stuff, if you happen to come across the brown [not the gray one] plastic cord halo for the 1984 Electrolux Special (Economy) Model and the off-white cord that attaches to two screw-terminals behind the cord winder, would you be willing to send these my way? Thanks...

Elux Special halo

Yes.Some sorting has begun on bags & attachments.Later parts such as halo. Most Special vacs are gone but there should be misc parts.(Will any want correct color genuine hose for display even if not to use daily??)There is probably a brown Special box.The brown halo had 2 slightly different versions that used 2 different screws.Either should work.

Looking for a certain convertible...

I lost my Kmart Hoover convertible because some guy at a vacuum store ended up throwing it out without my knowledge. It’s same one as the brown convertible in picture number 7, but has the hood style of the convertible in the lower left hand corner in picture number 6. Also curious what the straight suction cleaner is in the same aforementioned picture.

Thanks Jimmy... I didn't know there were two different types of halos; that doesn't matter to me, as long as it will fit.

I have a Special in beautiful condition. It came with the cord winder which I don't like on that model so I want to replace it with the halo.

I don't need a hose. After taking these photos I found a perfect, original hose.

I don't know Charles, doesn't the "deluxe" connote having a power nozzle?

You might have to throw that box out and wait for another 40 year box to randomly show up to package that adorable Olympia Special.

In my vacuum collecting career I've had probably 3 of these special vacs in the Olympia and one Silverado special, but none of the Jubilee specials.

I like them without either the winder or the spool. They look like minis of the full size automatic versions. I just wish the Specials had a parallel handle like the full-size versions.

Went to that thrift store where they had the Special a month ago, on Saturday. When I was checking out the vacuums I found a chrome Electrolux wand without a price on it. Whoever bought the vacuum must have forgot it. I wanted to buy the wand to go along with my Christmas gift Marquis, but weirdly the store clerk was afraid to sell something without a price on it.

Hey Jimmy! Just wondering, looking at pics 17 and 18 in the first group, love the blue/ chrome Shetland, and would you happen to have one like the others in that same picture in red? Also, in pic 18, is that a Sunbeam Challenger? Lastly, do you think you might have hoses and tools for the vacs I mentioned, along with a set of copper wands for a G.E. Roll-Easy? Thanks, TG

--Australian Hoover is in pic 6 and likely same as British.A local customer went down under for a high paying construction job, brought household items back and could not plug Hoover into US outlet. We then traded.
--oldschoolguy-May have 'your' Hoover or at least do have more outer bags and hoods.Straight suction is probably Health Mor by Royal.
--ge1969-Have several similar Shetland canister but probably not red. They had great colors/styles and design with many features that were added to deluxe models but not so great quality/performance.As of yesterday have found about 6 Challenger(painted, flowers & woodgrain).Do have many hose/atts for above and Roll Easy but first need to match up with vacs they came with.Want to do Sunbeam soon after Bissell, Vorwerk & Viking.
--ozhoover-Blue/white JCPenney is in pic 6.Also should have a dark orange with box top bag.
