Here are mine!

I am so glad I got my Purple "final edition" of the Air Way when I had the opportunity. I admit, I don't use it all that often... But it is an amazing machine.
Thank you, Charlie... for giving me the opportunity to purchase one!

My favorites are the 66 (such a simple elegance) and the all turquoise 88 (such a pretty color!). Both my 66 and 88 are part of my collection thanks to Tania!

It really is sad what happened... and now, my Air Ways mean even more to me than ever before.
I'll have to pull one of them down and use it to clean the house before my father and sister come down from Milwaukee for a visit next week.

Dusting party, anyone??

I gave Tania a call last night, and we talked for nearly two hours.

I hust so happened to ask her if she had any of the addresses of the various Air-Way factory locations handy--and with a little digging through a few of her numerous Air-Way binders, she was able to furnish me with a few.

I pulled up Microsoft's 'Live Maps' ... and the rest is self explanatory.

Sadly, I think this location is where the factory that's on the back of the 66 manual in an above post once stood. It looks like it was demolished more recently than not.

To hear that Airway is shutting down. Does anyone know how many employees there were? My heart goes out to all of them, wishing them the best in their future endeavors.
And thank you to all of you who posted pictures. Although Airway is gone we can still keep their memory alive.

Here is my wonderful twin motor, "Chief", from 1937 and my Grandmother's Mark II 88 with the Eureka power head.

I've been informed from Tania, that George Lovely, Jr., may buy the dies/casts/molds from Steve Tomberlin so we may not have seen the last of Air-Way.

If in fact George uses any of those dies, the name would be something else. He is the current owner of the Black Knight vacuums which are very similar to the Sani-Clean/New Century.

That company also makes the filtrete bags which fit all the Air-Way models from the 55 to the last machine including the Sani-Clean and the New Century models.

Charlie,
I think what you are showing was called "wheel-a-way". I have seen it before and some member also has the instruction book for the cart. I thought they sold it shortly before introducing the new 88 and commercial purchashers used it.
Same idea as the wheels they added to the early Electrolux runners.

I was surprised to see that yo9u have different pictures in your instruction book for the 66.
Also I have noted that some 66 models have the matching blue cord and rubber stops on the gliders. Ours came with the black cord and rubber stops. Our attacha-kit also had an Air-Way label at the top which I have not seen on other 66's.
