I no longer have a high efficiency washing machine. Now that I have a set of Speed Queens, they require much, much for water than my old LG HE set. The laundry pro slows down the cold water going into the washer so it can oxygenate it. If your washer uses only a few gallons it's immaterial. But, if your washer fills with 22 gallons, it increases the total time by at least 15 minutes due to the reduced water flow into the machine.

I am looking into one also. Have a HE front loader. Did it do the job it claimed as far as cleaning and having softer towels.

It worked fine. I could only use it for about 9 months out of the year since our water is so extremely cold during the hard part of winter. Many HE washers mix hot with cold to prevent a total cold wash during winter. In any event, it worked fine with my old HE. But not with the Speed Queen. It's not that it wouldn't work, it is just that the Speed Queen uses so much more cold water for the rinse, and the Laundry Pro slows the speed of the water down so much. My normal 28 minute wash cycle was taking 50 minutes.

They are awesome... They even have an adaptor you can buy and add to the system to make your own cleaning solutions. I use it in the glass stovetop and windows and it doesn't streak and bubbles up the grease and oil. I also use it in my carpet shampooer and the rugs come out awesome and on tile floors I use it for my mop water and I get no residue... This is in addition to cleaning the clothes and not getting that funky smell anymore in the washer. The machine has paid for itself already just in savings for cleaners. I would look up your local Aerus branch and get a quote... They aren't cheap but well worth the money.
