Please let me know if Aerus/Electrolux replacement brushes for the dusting brush and floor/rug tool attachments are still available separately--either genuine or aftermarket. I was surprised at how easy both are to replace and have appreciated the fact that--to my knowledge--the brushes fit all holders from the introduction of the Model E's newly designed attachments in 1954 to the current time--60 years. I wonder if Aerus ever considered highlighting that milestone? I also like the fact that the holders can be reused--especially if one wants to maintain the color match with the tank or bumpers.
I understand that the "sides" (as Electrolux called them) on the dusting brush/upholstery tool are available--albeit color matching with vintage sides would not be possible unless an Aerus franchise or vacuum store would have NOS (new old stock) or used parts.
Related trivia: the aforementioned tools were made in two colors (matching the tank's primary and secondary colors/or bumpers) from the beginning of the Model F in 1957 to the end of the Model G in 1968. After that they were made with one color (e. g. teal for the Model 1205s and ivory for the Model 1205/Golden Js) until around the time of the 75th anniversary when two colors were again used for the floor/rug tool--one for the holder and one for the bumper while the dusting brush/upholstery tool remained one color except for the bumper/donut insert. I am not as well-versed on the later models--I just know that I've seen several white/powder blue-colored attachments which would match the colors of the tank colors from around 1998 to around 2009. The secondary color for the ones from 2009 to 2013 was gray, but I haven't seen any white/gray color combinations for the attachments.
