Just got a junior 1346 and the fuse keeps blowing...Have put a 5amp in and a 3amp just to see and it only switches on for a few seconds then dies again. Anyone know what the problem could be?

You have a serious fault somewhere in the cleaner. I would be looking first of all to see if the suppressor has blown apart, and then I would be checking the motor. There is very little on a Junior that would make this happen. If it's a motor fault, you should be able to find another old motor very easily. Goodness knows they used the same motor for over 20 years in all sorts of Juniors.

Thanks guys. I replaced the motor with a spare that i had. Just stuck a new carbon Brush in the spare and away to go. She is running sweet. The only thing is that it smells a bit of kind of burning but sounds fine so im guessing its just where the motor had been in storage for so long and has not been used. Plus its not that aweful electrical burning smell that you get when there just about to burn out or blow up lol :-)
