I found this odd Bissell Trio stick vac today at a resale shop for $5.99, and I just couldn't leave it behind. I have never seen anything like it! It most definitely looks like a 1990's machine. The main vacuum goes up and down to adjust the height of it, and it is supposed to have a crevice tool, but it didn't come with it. It is pretty loud, but it is also pretty powerful. Another collector told me that these are from Canada and quite rare. Is that right?
I also found a Bissell 'Princess' carpet sweeper at a yard sale for $3. I thought the color was cool on it so I got it!

You just buy everything! I agree with it being the 90s stick vac, and I don't ever remember seeing one so it could be Canadian. If it is rare, it looks like a good find; I know I would never buy it! Interesting carpet sweeper too.

So I did some research on the Bissell Tri and there was a recall on it in 1992 because the casing would break, and the fan would shatter and fling out at people! There were 9 reported injuries! I'm going to hang on to this, as it is most likely very rare!

Davis and I also went thrifting today. We saw a Hoover TurboPower 2000 Caddy Vac for $20, Hoover Bagless Elite for $12, Regina Steam Cleaner (Like the Orecks) for $20, a Hoover Mach 5 Bagless for $20, and one of those Eureka Boss Power Line Plus hard body machines with the rocker switch on the middle of the machine. It was navy blue and very neat, but it was $25! So we didn't get any of those, due to all of the Goodwill's ridiculous prices!

Wow, Chase, I have never seen one of those before. It looks like it came right from the set of Saved by the Bell! The bottom nozzle kind of reminds me of those early carpet washers.... they were red plastic and had foam rollers on the bottom.... I had one to play with as a toy as a kid (at the babysitters.... my redneck parents would have never indulged me so... they got really mad when I pretended my little brothers batman car was a cake mixer and I was making a pretend birthday cake with it... I think a toy vacuum would have been out of the question... they tried to keep me away from the real one, though in vain... they still swear that my passion for vacuums is what turned me gay!) and found one at a thrift shop a few months back (but did not buy it).

I don't know what Eureka you are talking about with the rocker switch in the middle of the body.... I can't imagine... the only one that comes to mind is the Excalibur or some of the newer bagless ones (or the Smart Vac)!...... oh wait, I just pictured it.... kind of like a Bravo, with a kind of foam soft grip handle, and the switch is horizontal instead of vertical?

You are right about the Good Will and their prices.... I was in the other day and I they had a lot more plastivacs that usual (nothing good though).... there was a burgandy Bravo... missing the attachments, tear in the bag, all dusty..... and they had a price of 69.99 on it.... I think it cost less than that when it was new back in 1995! I laughed so hard I could barely make it back to my car... I did manage to regain my composure before putting the gear shift in drive. I guess that's not as bad as the rusty dusty Heritage 2 they wanted 299.99 for about a a year ago.... I don't know who is in charge of those things, but I'd really like to school them. Or smack them, yes, maybe that's better :o) Every time I go to the Good Will, I just walk out shaking my head in disgust and vow never to return.... I haven't found anything there worth even patting on the handle in over a year.... but I go back "just in case".... after all I did get my 1934A and Broom Vac there :o)

Nice finds as always, you sure have the blessings of the vacuum gods upon your head

$299.00 for a Heretage II? $69 for a Bravo? Holy crap! I got my Kirby G5 for only $100 and it came with all the attachments. I also got my D80 there for $10, but no attachments.

My aunt had a bissell stick vac just like in the '90s. When she married my uncle it ended up in a yard sale, when it didn't sell m, my dad took it to his office where it died about 10 years ago. It was kinda cool but no brush and very little suction. It was very loud too as I remember.
