I saw the pictures of that dishwasher. Very cool! I have never heard of a top loading dishwasher. The basket looks small. How does work? It must take a while to wash a lot of dishes. It doesn't look like it holds very many dishes. Speaking of top loaders, I saw a top loading clothes dryer. The door was on top and the drum was horizontal. Like a barrel on its side. I don't remember what brand it was. It wasn'tvintage. It was sold at home depot. I saw it when I was shopping for a new washer and dryer. I thought it was cool but it looked cheaply made. It was with a washer of the same brand.I ended up getting an LG pair. Those hoover blenders are awesome. I can't wait to find one.

top load D/W,

The top racks are split and pivot upward so the lower rack can be accessed. The top racks spin, and the upper spray arm was stationary. It pushed it around with water pressure.
Incidently, Design Manufacture made every one of their machines that way, front loaders included.
Any DM Kenmore before 1981 when they began sourcing dishwashers from Whirlpool.
Caloric also.

The TL GE I used was the older portable one that had the "bowtie" impellor blade in the bottom of its sump. You had to load the machine carefully so dishes on the lower shelf would'nt block the spray to the ones on the top shelf.
