A Kirby D-80/Tradition?

Now that's a strange sight! A D-80 in blue, not green, with a hose and box of a Tradition. No Sani-em-tor, but rather a Royal-like bag. Does this qualify as a FrankenKirby?

Yupp it does! It's a vac shop Bojack rebuild with an F&G conversion. It's a D80 that was rebuilt when the tradition was being sold and trim pieces were made in blue.

The problem is - the speed switches for the D80 and Tradition aren't the same. The hose itself won't jibe with the D80's speed switch.

At least it won't have that stupid floodlight lock like the early Traditions had.

My '79 Tradition is offended by that comment!

It's not the foolproof headlight lock so much that was maligned as the speed switch that was inside the headlight cap that proved to be the real trouble.
