Is my latest acquisition, a Penncrest model A117, serial #0005232, Deluxe model with cordwinder and headlight! It arrived here on Friday, 9/29 from the estate of a family friend whom we adopted as part of our family. She was a welcome guest in our home many times over the years for Christmas, birthdays, and other family gatherings.
As for the Penncrest, it's all original, runs great and looks pretty good other than a few scratches. It's in overall good condition except that the handle latch is worn and doesn't hold the handle in the top position and the cord release doesn't hold the cord in position. I replaced the burned out bulb and corrected the belt, which was on backwards, but those of course are minor things. Bag looks nice outside, but inside it appears that someone tied a rubber glove around the tube for some reason, and the retaining ring may be missing. It came with extra bags, 1 or 2 extra belts, and a standard attachment set in original box which may have been added later, as they look somewhat newer than the vacuum. Haven't taken any pics yet, but it looks exactly like the one pictured on the Vacuumland home page.
So thank you "Aunt" Edna, and may you rest in peace.
Jeff
