Just some more miscellaneous "this-and-thats" on a quiet Saturday evening. The most exciting thing going on is the dryer running.
Here's a lovely Electrolux Model G vacuum cleaner, factory rebuilt some time in the late 1980s. It was painted in beautiful silver-gray hammertone, and gray trim pieces were made in a new gray color from the original molds. (The original trim color was dark turquoise.)
Just listen to how sweetly she purrs in the video below, the motor as tight and smooth as can be. I really do love this machine, which was a gift to me by fellow collectors Charlie Watrous and Fred Nelson.
The Model G was surely among the best of all the Electrolux vacuum cleaners, and would run only a close second -- in terms of beauty and design -- to the Model XXX.
