That's a good price for the Dual V All Terrain Seamus, but I decided against that model as Which? said it left the carpet quite wet.
Here's the summary:
Innovation in design is the order of the day for this upright model from Vax that can be used on both carpets and hard floors such as lino and tiles.
Like other carpet washers, it uses powered brushes to clean your carpet and comes with a hand-held brush for upholstery. But rather than a roller which rotates to shift dirt, Vax's 'spin-scrub' brushes spin rapidly to mix in detergent and remove dirt and stains.
Carpet cleaning is very good, with floors looking great afterwards. The difference between this Vax and our Best Buys is the amount of water left on carpets after washing - this washer leaves carpets noticeably wetter than Best Buys. You can choose the cleaning setting that's right for your carpet but, like other upright washers, this Vax isn't as effective against dried on stains.
Water is heated by the cleaner itself, so you can fill it with cold water from the tap. However, there is no hard-floor attachment, and the water tank is halfway up the main body of the washer, making it difficult to push and pull when in use.
The power cord is long enough for you to be able to use the Vax 9.7 metres away from the mains socket, and the hose can be extended to 2.5 metres. It weighs 15.4kg when fully loaded with almost four litres of water.
Pros: Effective wet carpet cleaning, ease to use, powered brushes, built-in water heater, can be used on hard floors
Cons: Heavy, quite noisy, carpet wetness after washing

I expect this model is discontinued as the smaller version must have sold more and it is a Which? best buy.
Saying that, there are a couple of errors in the Which? report.
It doesn't heat the water, it directs the exhaust air onto the carpet which is supposed to raise the temperature of the cleaning area. Also the report says there is no hard floor attachment (which there is), yet it says it can be used on hard floors!
My Mum has a Bissell Pro Heat 2X which does a good job of cleaning, but leaves the carpet quite wet. I went over with my Vax V-124 and removed considerably more water.
Please let us know how you get on with your new Vax.
