The new power nozzle has a different belt and pulley on the motor and brush roll, it has more teeth than previous models making it sound different, it almost has a laboring sound, it doesn't not have the ever so familiar Electrolux sound as it did in the past. I have the new power nozzle and attachment set on my central vacuum, and I couldn't stand the way it sounded and ordered a motor, belt and brush roll from last years model, now it sounds the way it should.
In reply to BIMMER740, Steven, the owner of the Aerus branch on Commack Road is Vinny Nunziato, he has been there for over 20 years, he was there when I owned Deer Park Vacuum, and the West Islip location moved to Union Blvd. it is inside the building of a window treatment business, it is not a full Aerus office it is a satellite office for Commack. We still have a number of Aerus branches here on Long Island, there is Commack, West Islip, Patchogue, Hicksville and West Hempstead to name a few.[this post was last edited: 7/6/2015-23:23]

Pricing

Pricing is usually set by the dealers, call your local Aerus dealer, they accept trade ins for price reduction. I think the base Lux Classic canister is around 1k and the platinum top of the line canister is close to 3k..but I’m not certain.

They are quality and should last 20 years or more easily and offer outstanding service, even door to door delivery in home sales, just like back in the day still.
