700 and an old GE upright.

This is just a guesstimate but I would assume it to be a mid 30s, early 40s replacement.
The early 30's replacements just look somewhat similar to original bag.

(Unrelated, It's good to meet another Fur in the vacuum hobby)

I was wondering about that but its alright.

That 700 looks pretty amazing, even more so with its original bumper. A model 800 is on my wanted list lol, they're great vacuums with art deco styling. :)

My collection is rather small. (mostly due to space) I have my Model 700, My Hoover Dustette model 1015, Hoover Portable, and Kirby G4 Diamond edition.
The only machines that were restored were my 700 and my Portable.

(Sorry for the somewhat old dark photos)

Awesome! Never seen a portable in person. Kind of elusive.

When I lived at my parents I hid vacuums from my father. I at one time had 40 vacuums hidden in two double door closets in my bedroom and my brothers bathroom. So yea.... That along with finding out I was a furry was pretty... Crazy. Sold the collection and moved out. After two and a half years I've decided to get back into it! Living with non judgmental crazy furries is awesome.

All nice machines, though its a shame you don't have them anymore. I think I would refer to that as "Character" :P Doesn't appear to be that bad.

This is what my 700 looked like before I got through it.

Awesome! My 575 spent about 50 years under a crawl space below a house where hot wet environments ate away the finish, bag box and cord. But it ran incredibly smooth and silent.

They come up every now and then on eBay, I got mine off eBay about 2 years ago all for $35 it was REALLY beat to hell and back. One thing that killed off these Portables were failing motors. I regularly lubricate mine and haven't had any problems since then.

Hot dang, you managed to hide 40 vacuums? I can barely fit 4 in my own bedroom. (Along with my other vintage appliances) I've been collecting since 2014. More than just vacs, fans, tube radios, computers, and old video game systems.
As long as my stuff works and helps around the house my parents are alright with my collection. They also don't know I'm a fur. Even though I have portraits and badges of my fursona on my walls lol.

Yeeeeesh that's quite heavily damaged.... It looked quite intact too! The tools with the cardboard box are hard to come by.

Oh sure thing! Though I might respond tomorrow, since I'm pretty darn exhausted today.

The GE it gonna come out quite nicely with a polish! And its pretty sweet that you don't have to wash out the bag on it as well.
