I have a Dyson stick vac which I bought re-furbished direct from Dyson about 10 years ago. It has worked well until recently when the battery dies after just a few minutes. I contacted Dyson only to find out that they no longer make a battery for the model I have. WTF? A perfectly good stick vac and I have to toss it because Dyson won't support it by making a battery for it any more. More plastic going to the landfill. As a result I have been looking for a replacement stick vac (no more Dyson for me!). After watching endless reviews on youtube of different stick vacs, I elected to buy a refurbished Triflex direct from Miele. It arrived today so here are a few pics of the unboxing. The vac appears to be in brand new condition...I couldn't find a mark on it anywhere. The battery is currently charging but I did give it a quick test run. It has lots of power and is much quieter than my Dyson stick vac. I got the middle of the line model that comes with the mini electric power brush. I like that the power brush has a headlight and when on either speed 2 or 3 the brush roll speed adjusts automatically depending whether on carpet or bare floor.

I am not a big fan of cordless either but it is handy when just wanting to do a quick vacuum of the kitchen floor or front entrance, etc. So far I am impressed with it. I like that it has the headlight and that when using speed 2 or 3, the brushroll will automatically slow down when going from carpet to bare floor and then rev up again when moving back to carpet. Being able to be used in 3 configurations is also nice. When used with the power unit connected directly to the power brush, it will stand upright on its own. Also the brushroll shuts off automatically.

Gary, how's the filtration???

My biggest pet peeve with Dyson (and Shark for that matter) is that they talked a good line about HEPA but didn't make it available on all of their machines. This is why I'm looking to replace my Dyson V6 (and also because of the worn battery). Doesn't the TriFlex come with HEPA?

Brian,

No there is no hose available.

Luxlife,

Hepa filtration is on the Cat & Dog model (the one I purchased) and the HX1 Pro (top of the line) but it is not on the lower end base model. The base model also does not have a headlight on the power brush and the brush roll speed does not automatically adjust depending on the floor type.
