Hey everyone.
My college sits on and all around the Wright Patt Air Force Base, so all of the thrift stores have really interesting finds from all over the place. Recently, I posted about a dual voltage Hatachi Canister I found. A few weeks ago I found this really interesting Simplicity. I've followed Tacony for quite some time now (about 10 years is when I first got into contact with the company) and had some cool prototype machines thrown my way by their awesome team. However, I have never this model before.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
Other than the decal, it is clearly just a normal single speed Freedom.
Enjoy!

Presumably Simplicity donated a small percentage of sales to a charity benefiting soldiers. I tried to google it, but only found a newspaper advertisement from back in 2005 that mentions getting a free handheld if you buy an upright and shows the same logo.

Does this machine differ beyond labeling?

Other than the label stenciled on the hood, is the vacuum any different than the standard freedom? The name itself is rather patriotic.

I was given a Freedom of similar vintage and liked it so much, I bought a new one. They are easy to use and clean so well that I use mine all the time. And as has been said, the best vacuum is the one that gets used. I have many other machines and use them all, but not on a regular basis. This simple, light machine 'rocks'.
