RIP old Vacuumland.

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

One feature is actually helping me spend less time on the site. The 'Latest Posts' column makes it quick and easy to see what's new and then move on to other things. I find that I'm not casually perusing the forums the way I used to. Not sure whether that's good or bad; it just is.

Now this site looks a lot like my lawnmower site I visit. I guess If you see me posting about Wheel Horse tractors here you'll just have to help me or ignore me till I realize I'm on the wrong site. This looks lousy all right, Grrr!

I'm sorry you feel that way. Was there a specific feature that you are missing? Have you tried the dark version? That may make the distinction more evident.

I just came back after a couple weeks and, wow. I'm kinda happy for this change if it includes an actual thread search feature. That thread archive site was clunky to maneuver.

Etant français et beaucoup d'anglophone sur ce site, j'apprécie énormément la traduction automatique des messages permettant de pourvoir d'avantage participer aux discussions. Mon niveau d'anglais n'étant pas au top ;)

merci pour cela

Ya know what? Yes, I was a bit shocked and saddened at first to see the old Vacuumland go away. But, now that I have gotten used to the new website, I like it. And more importantly, I see that Alan, our new Administrator, is listening to us, responding, and making some changes based on what other members saw as favorable aspects of the old website, and incorporating some of them into the new one. More than anything, I am just grateful Vacuumland still exists! It's the one place us Vacheads can go to share with others with the same passion for our hobby and not be judged.

However - having said that, I DO have a issue with Unimatic1140, Robert Seger, for NOT making a formal announcement on here when the website was sold and when we could start to see a transition. That should have been done.
