before we left lebanon we hit up a vacuum shop. they had this FOR SALE for $25 in thier tiny shop. great people. they let us pick thier small parts room. got some fairfax attachments for my friend and a kenmore 5281 belt for myself
in springfield. this was a HUGE treat on the way home. sean and i had planned to putz thru springfield maybe hoping to pick a thrift store or antique mall. we first hit silver city vacuum just by seeing it. i got some great hoover brushstrips there and the owner pointed us to freds. if it werent for his the magical encounter wouldnt have taken place.
fred's is run by his widow and her tech larry. great people. we were just about to give up for lost when she said, why dont you let them in sheds? theres lots of old vaucums in there? the following photos show what we discovered. they are VERY collector friendly, and larry will repair ANY machines reguardless of age. i will post thier address and phone at the end of this photo set.
