Today I was browsing my local thrift stores and I stopped by a new one that so far has yielded several great vacuums to me. It seems that no matter when I stop they always have something good. Today I found a Bissell Dyna Clean stick vac with original box and manual along with a hodgepodge of attachments that didn't belong to the machine. I got home and started to look into the box and realized what the attachments went too. 2 weeks prior I had gotten my Hoover Dial-a-Matic from the same store. Sadly I couldn't find the attachments being that the machine was in such good shape I was surprised that the attachments we're not with it. Well today was my lucky day apparently both of these machines came from the same household of whom apparently used these machines very lightly and had placed the attachments to my Dial-A-Matic in the box with the stick vac. I am so excited to have two machines so well-maintained. Also something that I noticed was very interesting is that the attachment set with my DAM has a telescoping wand which I imagine would be one of the first of its kind.

DAM

Very NICE Dial A Matic! The attachments were optional but it seems most customers got them.Upholstery nozzle is missing and the dusting and crevice tools are later, possibly from Elite. The first telescopic wand was 1955 with the Constellation.Your wand is the 3rd and last version with the differences being the latch mechanisms. The Concept and maybe very last DAMs used 2 different wands.I probably have genuine bags for both vacs above.
