I beleive this never came with a Hoover "roundle"

I think it didn't actually because other Turbopower 2 models that did have it had a line ground into the plastic behind it where it was stuck on, so the "roundle" could be lined up to the correct angle as you can see, this one doesn't.

Wider ducting which was introduced on the Turbopower 3.

Earlier models had a ducting which was half the size of that...Hoover claimed on the Turbopower 3 that this wider ducting and the longer, wider hose gave you 35% extra suction power than previous Turbopower 2 models, but all later Turbopower 2's had this wider ducting and mine is proof of that.

Believe it or not, but I sat over the bath for about half and hour with an old tooth brush cleaning inbetween every square on the inside of that bag door, it paid off though. :D

I managed to get it off the uphostory tool as well! I also stuck the velour strip back on that just fell of when I first removed the tool from the machine.

Vintagerepairer...

Yes I did...I think that the picture might of been taken years before, the reason why I think this is because when I washed some of the plastic parts in the bath, the bag door said it was made in 1993, the hood said it was made in 1991! and the body was made in 1994, since the plastic was made for this machine years before it was out (from my knowledge) maybe pictures of an assembled machine before the Turbopower 3, as that is when they did away with the short crevice tool on the Turbopower 2, maybe they assemled one of these yellow ones and photographed it in the earlier 90's ready for Argos to put it in their catalouge in a few years time. That is my thought on the subject.

At the bottom of the rear of the machine, you can see a circular cut out, if you will, where on Turbopower 3 models there would of been a little hook to attach the hose to, so the machine didn't fall over when cleaning upholstory.

Rating sticker.

This one was made in 1998 and was the 21 st one off the production line, this is the newer type "Candy dating system" after the serial number there is another set of 4 four numbers, as you can see that is "9821" indicating it was the 21'st one off the production line, unfortunately, I don't think you can get a month from this style of dating system...This dating system applies for the new "Hoover" modles.

It says it is made in the E.C which is either Lisbon (Spain) or Cambuslang (Scotland, UK) I reckon this was probably made over here though. ;)

Well done

I have to confess I did not consider Hoover had made this model many years ahead of it going on sale and photographed it accordingly.

The dates on Hoover plastic parts have always been a source of mystery to me as many a 'new' model in a 'new' colour turned up with a relatively old date stamp on it. I have no knowledge of the processes as it has been well over 40 years since I last had any connection with production of goods, not since my time spent at Morphy Richards, and back then plastic was never really dated in this way.

The good old Activator.

The Purepowers of the same time had an Activator but it had shorter, softer brushes and less pronounced beater pads than  the Turbopower 2 brushroll.

Now the manual.

As I stated earlier, the seller gave me the original manual, extra bags order form and guarantee card, unfortunately, I don't have a scanner so I took photos of them, I hope this doesn't spoil it for you!

There it is in it's original sealed packet...Isn't it weird to think that the documents inside the bag have not been touched by human hands in 15 years.
