Hi everyone, here is my 90's Henry that I got a few days back off eBay for £29, what a bargin! It is all original except for the cuff on the hose, it is the longer, newer style, it should have the shorter one. It is in excellect condition, the motor in this machine runs fantastically, it has a very quite 1000w max motor.

I gave this machine a good clean, it didn't need it at all but I always do it with every "new" vacuum I get...Old habbits die hard, I guess.

Here it is anyway.

back

Notice, no stabilizer, which they added in about 1997 till present. You can just see but there is a slight bump right at the back on the bottom which is supposed to prevent the cleaner from tipping over, I don't think it is that effective.

Ratings sticker.

Made in the 11th week of 1993 in Beaminster, Dorset...The new ones are made in Chard, Somerset, I presume these older ones were made in a different factory (is that a blond question?) lol.[this post was last edited: 6/9/2013-15:41]

On/off switch and electric power head outlet.

The on/off switch makes a very loud snap sound, I LOVE that! I hope to get a power head for it eventually, that would be nice and would really finsish it off, but they are as rare as rocking horse shit.

The older floor tool.

I like this one alot better than the twin pedal ones you get with Henry's now, I feel it does a better job...for a cylinder. This floor tool is actually made in Germany.[this post was last edited: 6/9/2013-16:01]

Inside.

The filter was quite stained but after a 60 degree wash with some whites stain remover, it really came out like new. I am using Hepa flow synthetic bags.

But Alex,

I thought you "couldn't be bothered with cylinders":)
All joking aside that is a very nice henry and a very good deal.

"I couldn't be bothered with cylinders"

More like I can't be doing with them, they take up to much room and are not all that effective on carpet unless you have a power head, which, like I said, I would love to find one for this.
Uprights all the way for me BUT I have ALWAYS had a soft spot for Numatics! Especially Henrys.

Thanks, Scott.
